Car Affordability Calculator

This calculator works out the vehicle price a car budget will actually carry. Enter either the monthly payment you are comfortable with or your gross annual income and the share of it you want to spend, then add the loan APR, term in months, down payment, trade-in value and sales tax. It returns the maximum loan, the out-the-door budget and the sticker price that fits, along with the total interest over the term. Insurance, fuel, registration and maintenance are not included, and together they often add as much again to the real cost of owning the car.
