A tip calculator splits a restaurant bill and works out the gratuity in one step. Enter the bill amount, the percentage you want to leave and how many people are sharing, and it returns the tip, the new total and what each person owes. It saves doing percentage arithmetic at the table and avoids the awkward rounding that happens when a group tries to divide a bill by hand.
