Yield to Maturity Calculator

Yield to maturity is the single discount rate that makes a bond's remaining payments worth exactly what it costs today. Enter the price, the face value, the coupon rate, the term and how often coupons are paid, and this solves for that rate by bisection, alongside the current yield, the effective annual yield and a check that discounting every cash flow at the answer really does return the price. A second action compares the yield to maturity against the yield to a call date and reports the worse of the two. Prices are clean, so accrued interest, tax and dealer spread are not in any figure here.
