Enter a birth date, a clock time, the UTC offset and the latitude and longitude of the birth place, and this returns the sun, moon and rising signs together, plus the midheaven and the degree inside each sign. The positions are computed rather than looked up in a table: the equation of the centre for the sun, a 62 term lunar series for the moon, and local sidereal time with the obliquity of the ecliptic for the ascendant, which is why it asks where you were born. Sun and moon land within a few hundredths of a degree of a full ephemeris, and the two angles are exact for the moment you type, so a wrong birth time is the only thing likely to move a sign. It stops there, with no planets, no house cusps and no aspects. Astrology is entertainment, and doing the arithmetic properly does not make it anything else.
