Vedic Birth Chart Calculator

This works out the parts of a Vedic chart that plain arithmetic can reach: the Lagna, the Moon's rashi and nakshatra with its pada, the Sun's rashi and the tithi, all sidereal. Enter the birth date, the local clock time, the UTC offset of that place and its latitude and longitude, and the Sun and Moon are found from orbital elements with the twelve largest lunar perturbation terms, then shifted by a linear fit to the Lahiri ayanamsa. The Sun lands within a couple of arc minutes and the Moon within about a tenth of a degree, so anything sitting less than half a degree from a sign or nakshatra boundary is a coin toss, and the Lagna is only as good as the birth time you type. The other grahas, the bhavas and the dashas are not here, and a chart anyone would actually read from needs a real ephemeris such as the Swiss Ephemeris together with the ayanamsa you prefer.
