Alimony Calculator

There is no national alimony formula, so this page will not print one number. You pick a published guideline by name, enter the two monthly incomes and the length of the marriage, and it shows the formula worked through line by line with the statutory ceiling applied, the duration that guideline sets, and where the figure comes from. A second action runs the same facts through all five at once, which is the honest picture: the results differ by thousands of dollars a month on identical incomes. None of this is legal advice, none of it is what a court must order, and several of the formulas are advisory or apply only while a case is pending.

Calculator Type
Gross or net depending on the guideline; the result says which one it wanted.
Only used by the New York formula. It is adjusted every two years, so check the figure in force at your filing date.
