Coast FIRE is the point where the money you already have invested would grow into your retirement target by itself, with no further contributions at all. Enter your age, the age you want to retire, a real return after inflation and either a target amount or the yearly income you want, and it returns the balance you would need today. It also projects what you already hold forward to retirement and shows the gap in both directions. A single steady return every year is an assumption rather than a forecast, and real markets do not hand you one.
