Judgment Interest Calculator

This calculator works out post-judgment interest on a money judgment between the date it was entered and any date you choose. You give it the judgment, the statutory rate, whether that rate is simple or compounds annually or daily, and the day count basis, and it returns the interest accrued, the total owed, the daily rate and a period-by-period schedule. A second mode takes up to three partial payments and applies each one to accrued interest first and then to principal, which is the usual American rule and the reason a judgment with payments on it does not behave like an ordinary loan. The rate and the compounding are inputs rather than a built-in table because they are set by statute and differ by state and by federal court, and this page decides no legal question about which rule applies to you.

Enter the judgment, the statutory rate and how it compounds, and get the interest accrued to any date along with the daily rate.

Only include these if your jurisdiction treats them as part of the judgment that bears interest. That varies, and some awards bear interest from a different date entirely.
From the statute or the face of the judgment. It is not the same everywhere and this page does not guess it.
