Corrected Age Calculator

A baby born early is usually measured against the age it would have been had it arrived on time, and this calculator works that figure out. Enter the date of birth and either the original due date or the gestational age at birth, and it returns the corrected age, the chronological age, how early the baby arrived and the postmenstrual age a neonatal unit uses. Correction is normally applied to babies born before 37 weeks and is usually carried until about two years of age, but there is no fixed rule and the paediatric team decides when to stop. Nothing entered here leaves the page in the address bar.
