FFMI Calculator

FFMI is the fat-free mass index published by Kouri and colleagues in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine in 1995: fat-free mass in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. Enter weight, height and a body fat percentage and it returns FFMI, the normalized FFMI that adjusts the figure to a height of 1.8 m, and the fat-free and fat mass those inputs imply. It needs a body fat measurement to start from, so it cannot be worked out from weight and height alone. That input carries the largest error: a body fat estimate that is three points out moves FFMI by roughly the same margin.
