GFR Calculator

This tool estimates glomerular filtration rate from serum creatinine, age and sex. It offers two published equations, the race-free CKD-EPI 2021 creatinine equation and the four-variable IDMS-traceable MDRD equation, and reports the result in mL/min per 1.73 square metres alongside the matching stage from G1 to G5. Creatinine can be entered in mg/dL or umol/L, and both equations were developed for adults. The figure is an estimate rather than a measurement, and it does not replace a clinician reading it alongside the rest of the panel, a urine albumin result and a repeat test.
