A two-stroke ratio such as 50:1 means fifty parts of petrol to one part of oil by volume, so the oil is simply the fuel volume divided by the ratio. Enter the fuel and the ratio and you get the oil in US fluid ounces, millilitres and imperial fluid ounces, along with the total volume in the can. Two other modes run it backwards, reporting the ratio you actually mixed or the fuel that matches a bottle of oil you already have. Use the ratio printed on your engine rather than a general rule, because it varies by machine.
