Mileage Reimbursement Calculator

Mileage reimbursement is miles multiplied by a rate, so the only thing that can make it wrong is the rate, and that is an input here rather than a number baked into the page. Enter the miles for a trip, or a pair of odometer readings with the personal miles taken out, add tolls and parking if your policy pays them, and you get the amount with the arithmetic shown. A third mode compares the rate you are paid against another rate and reports the gap per mile and in total. Standard rates are reset every year and differ by purpose, so take the figure from your policy or from the notice for the year you drove.

Your employer's rate, or the standard rate for the year you drove. The IRS business standard mileage rate was 67.0 cents per mile in 2024 and 70.0 cents in 2025, and it is reset every year, so take the figure for the right year rather than assuming. If you picked kilometres above, enter the rate per kilometre; the arithmetic is the same multiplication.
Reimbursed on their own, on top of the mileage rate, when the policy allows them.

Commuting between home and a regular workplace is usually personal, not business. Read in the same unit as the odometer.
