Rate of Return Calculator
This covers the rates of return that a plain gain over cost does not give you. The first mode takes what you paid, what it is worth and any income received, then annualises over the days you actually held it and shows how much of the return came from the price and how much from dividends or rent. The second averages a list of yearly returns two ways, because the arithmetic average that gets quoted is always higher than the compound rate you really earned. The third applies the Fisher relation to strip inflation, fees and tax out of a nominal rate, which is not the same as subtracting inflation from it.
