Average Blood Pressure Calculator

Blood pressure guidelines are written about an average of repeated readings, not about one number, and this tool works that average out. Enter two to twenty readings as systolic over diastolic and it returns the mean of each, the 2017 ACC/AHA category that average falls in, the range and standard deviation across the set, and how the first reading compares with the ones after it. A switch leaves the first reading out, because the first of a sitting usually reads highest and clinic practice is to discard it. A second form compares two sets, such as a week of mornings against the same week of evenings. It applies a published threshold to numbers you typed and does not diagnose anything or replace a clinician reading your log.
