Body surface area is the figure many drug doses are scaled to, and it is estimated from height and weight rather than measured. Enter centimetres and kilograms, or feet, inches and pounds, and you get the result from four published formulas at once: Mosteller, Du Bois and Du Bois, Haycock, and Gehan and George. You can pick which one carries the headline, and add a dose per square metre to see that multiplication done. The four disagree by a few percent because each was fitted to a different sample, so the spread between them is shown too. Every figure here is an estimate and does not replace a clinician's judgement.
