Coefficient of Variation Calculator

The coefficient of variation is the standard deviation divided by the mean, written as a percentage, and is also called the relative standard deviation. Paste a list of numbers, or type a mean and a standard deviation you already have, and choose whether the numbers are a sample or a whole population. A second mode takes two sets and says which one varies more relative to its own mean, which is the reason the measure exists at all. It only behaves on measurements with a genuine zero and a positive mean, and there is no universal cutoff for a high CV.
