Derivative Calculator

This tool differentiates polynomials in one variable, such as 3x^2 + 5x - 7, by applying the power rule to each term. Type the polynomial using ^ for powers and it returns the first derivative, the second derivative and the degree; give it a value of x as well and it also reports the slope, the function value and the equation of the tangent line at that point. Every term has to be a number multiplied by a whole-number power of x. Trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, root and quotient functions are outside what it can handle.
