Enter a square matrix from 2 x 2 up to 6 x 6, one row per line or with semicolons between the rows, and get the determinant with the elimination written out. The working lists each row operation, any row swaps and the sign they produce, the pivots on the diagonal and their product, and a 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 also gets its direct formula spelled out in full. When every entry is a whole number the answer comes from fraction-free Bareiss elimination, so it is an exact integer instead of a float that has drifted a few places. Sizes above 6 x 6 are not offered, because the intermediate values stop fitting exactly and the working stops being readable.
