Dot Product Calculator

This calculator works out the dot product of two vectors, in two or three dimensions. Type the components of A and B and it returns the scalar product term by term, the length of each vector, the cosine of the angle between them, that angle in degrees and radians, the scalar and vector projection of A onto B, and whether the two are perpendicular. The angle comes from the dot product rather than the cross product, so it tells 30 degrees apart from 150 degrees apart. A zero vector is rejected instead of being given an invented direction.
