Polynomial Long Division Calculator

This tool divides one single-variable polynomial by another the long way and shows every subtraction as it goes. Write each polynomial the way you normally would, such as 2x^3 + 3x^2 - 5, or give its coefficients from the highest power down, such as 2 3 0 -5; a missing power counts as zero either way. The result carries the quotient, the remainder, the whole answer written as a quotient plus a fraction, and a multiplication check that rebuilds the dividend from them so you can see the division closed. Decimal coefficients are accepted and rounded to ten places, and the working stops at degree 12.
