Scale Factor Calculator

Similar figures share their angles and differ by one number, the scale factor k. Enter two matching sides, a factor to apply, a missing side, or two areas or two volumes, and this returns k as a decimal and a fraction with the area factor k squared and the volume factor k cubed. Working back from areas is where the mistakes live, because the ratio of two areas is k squared and not k. It assumes the figures really are similar; if another pair of sides gives a different k, they are not.
