Words Per Minute Calculator

Typing speed is scored in standard words of five characters including the space, which is why a typing test and a plain word count rarely agree. Paste the passage you typed, or enter a count you already have, add the time taken and the number of uncorrected errors, and this returns gross and net words per minute, the error penalty, accuracy, characters per minute and keystrokes per hour. A third mode turns the question round and says how long a piece of typing will take at a speed you already know. For reading speed rather than typing speed, the reading speed calculator is the one you want.
