Crushed Stone Calculator

Crushed stone is quarried and sold by the ton, so this tool answers in tons rather than volume. Give the length, width and depth of the area and pick a grade, and it returns the tonnage to order, the cubic yards that fills, the coverage per ton at that depth, the number of truck loads at your carrier's capacity and the cost if you enter a price per ton. A second mode runs it backwards, taking a delivered tonnage and telling you the area it spreads over and how long a drive of a given width that makes. The densities are the loose delivered figures suppliers publish by grade, 2,500 lb per cubic yard for clean 3/4 in stone up to 2,700 for crusher run, and a custom density field takes your own supplier's number when they give you one.
