Give the area in square feet and the depth in inches or feet, add a waste allowance if you want one, and it returns the volume in cubic yards, cubic feet and cubic meters along with the whole yards to order. A second mode turns a volume in cubic yards into pounds and tons using a typical density for topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch or concrete. Densities move with moisture and grade, so treat the weight as an estimate and enter the supplier figure when you have one.
