Asphalt Calculator
Asphalt is bought by weight, so a paving estimate is area times thickness times density. Enter the length and width in feet, or the area in square feet, plus the thickness in inches, and the tool returns the tonnage, the volume in cubic feet and cubic yards, and the cost if you give a price per ton. Density defaults to 145 pounds per cubic foot, which is typical for compacted hot mix, and you can change it to match your supplier. The waste allowance simply adds a percentage on top, so order a little over what the arithmetic says.
