Works out how much water a swimming pool holds, in gallons, cubic feet and liters. Choose a rectangular, round or oval pool and enter the surface dimensions in feet plus the water depth; if the floor slopes, enter the shallow and deep readings and the tool averages them. A separate action turns a gallon figure into a filling time at your hose flow rate and a water bill. Measure the depth of the water rather than the height of the wall, since most pools sit several inches below the coping. Averaging the two depths is exact only when the floor slopes evenly from one end to the other.
