Pizza Calculator

Ordering for a group is an area problem: a 16-inch pizza is not slightly bigger than a 12-inch one, it is 1.78 times as much pizza. Enter the number of adults and children, how many slices each eats, and the diameter you are ordering, and this returns the number of whole pizzas, the slices they cut into and how much is left over, with the area sum shown. A second mode compares two diameters and prices and says which is cheaper per square inch. Appetite is the guessed part; the geometry is not.

Two smalls or one large? Area grows with the square of the diameter, so the answer is rarely the obvious one.
