BUN Creatinine Ratio Calculator

The ratio of blood urea nitrogen to serum creatinine is read alongside the two results themselves, because the two substances move apart in ways that point at different causes. Enter both values in whichever units your report uses, mg/dL or mmol/L for urea and mg/dL or umol/L for creatinine, and it converts them, returns the conventional ratio and names the band it falls in. It also prints the SI urea to creatinine ratio separately, since that number sits on a different scale and the 10 to 20 band does not apply to it. A ratio narrows the differential rather than settling it, so an abnormal result belongs with the clinician who ordered the test.
