HOMA-IR Calculator

This tool turns one fasting blood pair into the three indexes built from it: HOMA-IR for insulin resistance, HOMA-B for beta cell function and QUICKI for insulin sensitivity. Enter the fasting glucose in mg/dL or mmol/L and the fasting insulin in uIU/mL or pmol/L, and it returns all three along with the converted values it used. Both samples have to come from the same fasting draw, or the answer means nothing. The indexes were derived to compare groups in research rather than to label one person, and insulin assays are not standardised, so a published cut-off from another lab will not transfer exactly to your result.
