Edible Dosage Calculator

This works out the milligrams of THC in one piece of an edible, which is a division and nothing more. Give it the weight and tested percentage of the flower or concentrate you infused, the conversion and transfer losses and how many pieces the batch made, or give it the total printed on a package with the number of pieces inside. It returns the milligrams in a piece, in half a piece and in the whole batch, along with what was lost on the way. It does not suggest an amount for anyone to take, and because a swallowed edible takes 30 to 120 minutes to be felt, the strength of a piece and what you are feeling are not the same thing.

Grams is how flower and concentrate are catalogued; ounces and pounds are here for a kitchen scale that reads in them. An eighth is 3.5 g, an ounce is 28.35 g.
The percentage from the label or the certificate of analysis for the material that went in.
Raw flower is mostly THCA and has to be heated before any of it counts. A product already sold as active THC does not lose the 12.3 percent or the oven losses.
How much of the THCA your oven step actually converted. A careful low oven reaches most of it; a rushed one does not. Ignored when the figure above is already active THC.
How much of the THC moved from the plant into the butter or oil. What stays in the plant matter and on the strainer never reaches the food.
Count what you actually cut or poured, not what the recipe said it would yield.

The whole-package figure, not the per-serving one. If only a per-piece figure is printed, you already have the answer.
Fractions are fine. Enter 0.5 for half a piece.
