Ski Size Calculator

Ski size charts put a ski somewhere between 23 cm and 8 cm below your standing height, with beginners at the short end and experts at the long end. This tool slides a six centimetre window across that band by ability, then adjusts for weight and for whether the ski is a carver, an all-mountain ski, a powder ski or a park ski. Every step is shown, so you can see how far the answer moved and why. The weight step is a rule of this tool rather than a published one, since shops only say to size up if you are heavier than average, and it is labelled as such in the result. A second mode takes a length you already own and reports which ability band it falls in, and a shop fitting still governs.
