Electricity Cost Calculator

This tool converts electricity use into money at the price you actually pay. The first mode takes an appliance rating in watts, how long it runs each day and your price per kilowatt hour, and returns the cost per hour, per day, over the period and over a year. The second takes a meter reading in units with any fixed standing charge and returns the bill and the true average cost per unit once that charge is spread across it. You supply the price per kilowatt hour rather than picking a region, because tariffs vary by supplier and time of day and any built-in rate would be wrong for most people.
