Goat Gestation Calculator

This tool works a goat kidding date out from the service date, and works backwards from a kidding date you want to the day you have to breed. Enter the date and the gestation length you use, which defaults to the usual published average of 150 days, and it returns the expected date, a window five days either side, and the dates that hang off it: when a pregnancy check becomes reliable, when the last third of gestation starts, when to dry off a milking doe and when to move her to a kidding pen. Breed matters here, with Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmy does often nearer 145 days and dairy breeds nearer 150, which is why the length is an input. A doe carrying triplets often kids a day or two early, so the window is the useful part of the answer.
