Cylinder Volume Calculator

Work out the volume of a cylinder and how much of it is actually holding liquid. Enter the diameter and the height in inches, feet, centimetres or metres and the result comes back in cubic units, litres, US gallons and imperial gallons. Two further modes take a fill depth: one for a tank standing upright, one for a tank lying on its side, where the wetted area is a circular segment rather than a simple fraction of the height. Measure the inside diameter, because wall thickness is not accounted for.
