Dilation Calculator

A dilation moves every point away from or towards a fixed centre by the same scale factor. Enter a point, or the vertices of a figure in order, together with the centre and the factor k, and this returns the image coordinates, the coordinate rule written out, and the perimeter and area of both figures. Lengths scale by k, areas by k squared, and a negative k sends the image through the centre to the other side. The sketch draws the rays from the centre through each vertex, which is the check that the centre is where you think it is.
