Elimination Method Calculator
Enter the coefficients of two equations in x and y, or three in x, y and z, and this works through the elimination method one operation at a time. It scales each pair until the chosen unknown has matching coefficients, adds or subtracts to cancel it, solves what is left and substitutes back, showing the equation after every step. All the arithmetic runs on exact fractions rather than decimals, so a third prints as 1/3 and a coefficient that cancels is a real zero, which is what lets parallel lines and dependent equations be named instead of guessed at. Decimal coefficients are cleared to whole numbers first, and the final values are checked in the equations as you typed them.
