Surface Area Calculator

This calculator returns the surface area of the six solids that come up most often: a cube, a rectangular box, a sphere, a cylinder, a cone and a square pyramid. Pick the shape, enter its dimensions in millimetres, centimetres, metres, inches, feet or yards, and it gives the total area along with the lateral area and the base areas separately, so a figure for paint, sheet metal or wrapping counts only the faces that exist. The cone and the pyramid also return the slant height the formula needs, worked out from the vertical height you typed. Every total is converted to square metres, square feet and square inches.
