Triangle Calculator

Give any three measurements that fix a triangle and this returns the whole thing: all three sides, all three angles, the area, the perimeter, the three heights and the circumradius and inradius. Pick the case you have rather than working out which rule it needs, whether that is three sides, two sides with the angle between them, two angles with a side, or two sides with an angle that is not between them. That last case, SSA, is the one that can describe two triangles, one or none, and it is handled honestly: when there are two you get both, and when there is none you are told which measurement fell short. The right angle case has its own page, and so do the sine and cosine rules taken one line at a time.

Calculator Type

Give the three sides and every angle, the area and the rest come back.

Widget

The angle has to be the one where the two sides meet. The side opposite it is the one that comes out.

The angle where sides b and c meet. Side a is the one facing it.
Widget

The side has to be the one joining the two angles you know.

The side running from angle A to angle B.
Widget

Give a side and the angle facing it, plus one more angle.

Widget

This is the case that can give two triangles, one, or none. Whichever it is, you get told which and why.

The angle facing side a. It is not between the two sides.
