Triangular Pyramid Volume Calculator

This works out the volume of a triangular pyramid, the solid with a triangular base and three faces meeting at an apex. Describe the base triangle however you have it, by base and height, by three sides, or by one side of an equilateral triangle, and add the perpendicular height; a fourth option takes a single edge as a regular tetrahedron. Back comes the volume in your own unit plus cubic metres, cubic feet, litres and US gallons, with the base area and the formula used. The height must be the straight-up distance from base to apex, not a slanted edge, which is where this calculation usually goes wrong.
