Pokemon Catch Rate Calculator
The capture check itself is a published formula, but the catch rate it starts from is a per-species number, so you supply that instead of a name. Enter the catch rate, the target's maximum and current HP, the ball multiplier and any status condition, and you get the catch value, the odds per ball and the odds across three, five and ten throws. The generation matters more than most people expect, because Generation III and IV land almost exactly on a straight line at a over 255 while Generation V onward uses a three-quarter power that roughly doubles the chance at the hard end, so both are offered. Critical captures and the Generation I and II formulas are not included.
