Enter what the board has told you so far and this narrows a built-in list of common five-letter words down to the ones still possible. The green box takes a five-character pattern with a letter where a tile came up green, the yellow box takes letters known to be in the word, the grey box takes letters ruled out, and a separate field takes the positions a yellow letter has already been tried in. It returns how many words still fit and ranks them so the top suggestion is the one that splits the field furthest if it turns out to be wrong. The list holds around 2,280 common English words compiled for this page rather than the game's own answer list, so an unusual answer can simply be missing from it.
