Domain and Range Calculator

Pick the family your function belongs to, enter its coefficients, and this returns the domain and the range in interval notation along with the feature that creates them: a vertex, a corner, an endpoint or an asymptote. Seven forms are covered, one per tab: linear ax + b, quadratic ax^2 + bx + c, rational with a linear top and bottom, square root a times the root of bx + c plus d, absolute value, exponential a times B to the x plus k, and logarithmic a times log base B of cx + d plus k. Each answer comes from the closed form for that family, not from sampling a graph, so it is exact. Anything outside those seven, such as a trigonometric function, a cubic, a piecewise definition or a composition, is not attempted and the form will not accept it.
