Slope Intercept Form Calculator
This tool writes a straight line in every form a course asks for. Give it a slope and a point, two points, or the coefficients of Ax + By = C, and it returns the slope-intercept form y = mx + b, the point-slope form, the standard form with whole-number coefficients, the general form, both intercepts and the angle of inclination. A fourth mode takes a line and a point and builds the parallel and the perpendicular line through it, with the crossing point and the distance from the point to the original line. Slopes are kept as exact fractions rather than decimals, so a slope of -3/4 stays -3/4, and vertical lines are reported as vertical instead of being forced into a form that cannot hold them.
