Artificial Grass Cost Calculator

This prices an artificial turf job from the rates you are actually being quoted. Enter the area, a waste allowance for the roll, and the price of turf by the square foot or the square yard, then the base stone depth and price per ton, the infill rate and price per pound, weed barrier, edging, seaming, labour and any one-off charges, and it returns each line, the material and labour subtotals, tax and the cost per square foot. A second mode sets the installed cost against keeping a live lawn over a horizon you choose, with a break-even year. There is no price list built in, because turf, infill and labour rates move by product, region and season.

Measurements and Rates In
This moves the whole form. Every measurement and every per-unit rate below is read in the system you pick here, and the answers come back in it too.
Square feet, or square metres in metric. An area given here wins over the length and width.
Turf comes off a roll of a fixed width and every piece has to run the same direction, so offcuts are larger than on a flooring job.
Left alone this follows the switch at the top: the square foot in feet, the square metre in metric. Set it explicitly when the quote arrives in something else -- rolls are often priced by the square yard, which is nine square feet.
Crushed stone or decomposed granite under the turf, in inches. Leave at zero if the base is already there.
Pounds per cubic foot. Leave it blank for 100 lb per cubic foot, the usual figure for compacted crushed stone.
The rate your turf supplier specifies for the pile height you are buying, in pounds per square foot.
Linear feet, or linear metres in metric.
