Framing Cost Calculator

This turns a length of wall into a framing takeoff and then into money. Enter the total wall length, the height, the stud spacing, the openings, corners and partition intersections, along with your own prices for studs, plate and header stock, sheathing, fasteners and labour, and it returns the quantity and cost of each line plus the total and the cost per square foot of wall. A waste allowance is added to the lumber and the sheets before each is rounded up to a whole unit, and a second action gives a budget figure from a square foot rate when the wall lengths are not known yet. Every price is one you supply, because lumber and labour move by region, by season and by supplier.
