Topsoil Calculator

Soil is measured in cubic feet but sold either in bags or by the yard, and the awkward part is converting between the two. Give the length, width and depth of the patch and this returns the volume, the number of bags at the size you buy, the bulk yards to order, and which of the two costs less once you enter both prices. A second mode fills raised beds: the inside measurements, how many beds, and a blend such as half topsoil and half compost, split into bags of each. A third works backwards from the bags you already have to the area they cover. Bag counts assume soil is sold by volume, and a 40 lb bag is treated as the usual 0.75 cubic feet.
