AP US History Score Calculator
This calculator estimates an AP United States History score from your raw section marks using the exam's published weightings: 40 percent multiple choice out of 55 questions, 20 percent short answer out of 9 points, 25 percent document based question out of 7 points and 15 percent long essay out of 6 points. It adds those into one weighted percentage, shows what each section contributed, and maps the total to a 1 to 5 score using fixed cutoffs of 75, 60, 45 and 30 percent. Those cutoffs are an approximation and the tool says so in its own output, because the College Board resets the raw-to-scaled curve every year and does not publish it, so a real exam can land either side of this estimate. The second mode runs the arithmetic backwards and tells you how many multiple choice questions you would need for a target score given the essay marks you expect.
