D&D 5e HP Calculator

This works out the hit point maximum for a Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition character on the 2014 Player's Handbook rules. Choose the class, the level and the Constitution score, and enter any standing bonus such as the Tough feat as extra hit points per level. It returns the total, the first level figure, the gain per level, the hit dice pool, and the best and worst a rolled character could have ended up with. A second mode prints the whole track from 1st to 20th level for one class. Multiclass totals and temporary hit points are not covered.

Calculator Type

Fifth edition, on the 2014 Player's Handbook rules. Leave the rolled total empty to use the fixed average that most tables default to.

The hit die is printed beside each class and is the one in the class table.
The ability score itself, not the modifier. The modifier is worked out for you.
Tough is +2 a level. Dwarven Toughness on a hill dwarf and Draconic Resilience on a draconic sorcerer are +1 a level each. Add them together here.
If you rolled, add up only the dice you rolled for levels after the first, before any modifiers. Leave it at zero to use the fixed average.
