RCRI Calculator

The Revised Cardiac Risk Index scores six clinical criteria before major non-cardiac surgery, one point each, and places the patient in one of four classes. Tick the criteria that apply and the tool returns the point count, the class, and a list of which criteria were and were not met. It does not print a percentage risk of a major cardiac event, because the published event rate for each class differs between the derivation cohort, the validation cohort in the same paper and the later cohorts that current guidelines quote. A score is one input to a perioperative assessment and does not replace it.
